The rest of us in the Northeast corridor were wondering what the big deal was about a dead redneck. . .'great driver'- sure. If he was so great why is he worm-food?

He is deceased due to a faulty seat belt which broke on impact, failing to restrain him. He was perhaps the greatest driver, and a person who represents what life was and is like for many southerners, as he worked on a farm when he wasn't racing, all while doing much of the work on his cars himself. He achieved great success through hard work and discipline, but who would want that in a public figure? he's just a dead redneck.

Plenty of NASCAR fans in the northeast corridor, so I don't believe every one up there shares your narrow minded opinion. Your cracks at rednecks, the South, etc. could really use a litte more creativity as well.

Sorry- but living here there were too many WTF's to ignore- dead redneck wasn't a big deal outside of. . .well, wherever this sport reigns supreme. . .
