Add affiliate links to your Weblists

Companies like Amazon.com, eBay, CommissionJunction.com, and Linkshare.com offer what are called affiliate programs. Here's how they work: let's say you create a Weblist about your favorite cosmetic products. If you are a member of Amazon's affiliate program, you can put special links to each cosmetic page on Amazon that tracks back to you. If the click that you refer to Amazon through these links results in a sale by Amazon, you earn about a 5% commission. You don't need to participate in the RateItAll Economy program to add affiliate links to your Weblists.

We've never had very good luck with affiliates. However, if you have a high traffic page or link, there's no reason not to try adding affiliate links to those pages. Typically you will earn 6-10% commission on any sales that come through those links. Remember, however - if you add affiliate links and don't have any unique content (descriptions, reviews), there is no way that Google will send you traffic - they'll consider it just a crass affiliate page, with no redeeming content of its own.
