ScoTTrade 2

Be careful with what you see on Scottrade's average price.
On Dec 26 I bought EWZ x 1500 shares. The average price $82.2113. (300 x 82.00, 700 x 82.31, 500 x 82.20)
Scottrade "Elite" show an average price MUCH lower. I got suspicious and after phoning their office, got confirmation that the shown average price paid is wrong.
This one time I confirmed my position over the phone but God knows how many transactions I have sold at a loss thinking I am making a profit!

Does anybody else have the same problem with Scottrade and their average prices?

In ScottradeELITE there is an "EDIT AVERAGE PRICES" button on the positions screen. It's there for a reason. Scottrade has it's problems and is constantly improving it's already awesome trading platforms. For a discount broker you won't find better service and value for your money. You people that nitpick about problems and post on sites like this, taking a lot of time and effort to do so probably never even used the "feedback" feature in ScottradeELITE to send your complaints and suggestions DIRECTLY to the developers of the program. Scottrade's support staff are all located in this country and not India or elswhere and they are really helpful. Check your account balance using the Elite web browser and stop whining about a little problem that more than likely will be fixed in a future update. Help yourself and other Elite users like myself by sending in your feedback to Scottrade where it will actually do some good. The more feedback they get the quicker they are to implement the changes. Try it, please.
