Zales 1

A little over a year ago I bought a $2000 engagement ring from sales. No problems at the time but the engagement fell through and now I'm trying to sell the ring off. I got a rude awakening finding out the few places I took the ring to wouldn't buy it back for more than 300. Moral of the story, diamonds are worthless, capitalism wants you to believe they are worth something but if you must buy a diamond AVOID the big names(zales, kay, etc) at all cost as they have a high markup with very little resell value. You can do better shopping online or finding a trusted local jeweler.

Really is it Zale's job to insure your relationship lasts? No it's not. That's an unfair review for them. No company can return items over a year after purchase. And really there is mark up in everything you buy, You sound ignorant by suggesting otherwise.

REALLYNOW is right...Zale's sells you the ring, it's your responsibility to ensure the relationship, not theirs. An engagement ring over a year old is "used", and pawnshops only pay you a very small percentage of the value of any item, whether it be diamonds or gemstones. Your best bet is to hold on to the ring and when you find "the right one", have the diamonds reset into a new setting for her.
