Differin Gel 4

I have been using Differin gel .1% for the last 7 weeks (going on my 8th week beginning tomorrow) and have not seen any improvements in my skin condition. Like many of you have also experienced, my skin has actually gotten worse. However, I have used this gel before, several years ago, and know you really do have to be patient to see the results. However, I just noticed that there is now a stronger Differin prescription, Differin gel .3%, and was wondering if any of you have seen better results with this prescription. Would anyone be bale to advise me, based on your experience, as to whether I should consult my dermatologist for the stronger prescription, or just continue using the .1% until at least the 12 week mark to see if the .1% will work for me after all. Any advice would be appreciated!

My daughter is in her 9th week of using the Differin Gel 3%. Her skin definitely got worse before better and it is only slightly better. She started off with the 1% first but that did not do anything for her skin so started using the 3%. She has an appointment scheduled for this Friday and I will be curious to see what the dermatologist will say. Her skin was only slightly bad with her first appointment, but is extremely bad now. I am sure the dermatologist will tell us to stay on the Differin for another month or so but I will have to determine whether I want her to or not. I am so exasperated with this process. She had been on Benzaclin for eight months which worked great, but unfortunately after eight months her pores began getting so clogged she would get these huge bumps that would take forever to go away. She is only 13 yrs. old and I hate seeing her having so many skin problems at such a young age. I don't know how problematic your skin is, but Skinceuticals and Mark Lees products are great OTC products. If my daughter gets no results with some of these prescription products I will put her back on these OTC products because I at least know they are safe.
