Timberwolf Organics

reviewed by kpusa78

Timberwolf Organics' formulas closely resemble the diet of wild canids. Our philosophy dictates high levels of animal proteins, a rich balance of essential fatty acids, herbs, fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts faithfully formulated with the nutritional requirements of your pets.

Timberwolf Organics 2

I had to adjust my rating again.  There are just way too many pets being hurt by this food and Canidae.  So sad as both these foods were wonderful before they got caught up the in the "Big Business" mode of doing things.

Update- 02/10/08.......  I still think this is a good food.  As I am not sure what is correct with the whole label issue, I will not comment on that.  My dog did really well on this, but most recently, it's almost like she has developed heart burn or something on this food.  She is constantly swallowing and making unusual sounds.  I have had to change my rating because this is just really odd.  I have since moved her to another high quality food.

My dog has never, ever been so excited to eat her food...that includes the 2 at the top of this list too. She loves every flavor, but her favorite is the SW Chicken or the Wilderness Elk. They use great ingredients, as you can tell from the low ash content with such a high protein amount. The food also requires less amounts to be fed and I can use this as a reward too...that's how much she likes it. They also sell this at one of my local pet food stores, so I can order online, from the manufactorer, or at a local store. It is very easy to obtain a bag. I highly recommend.

Just out of curiosity...does it not bother you that they lied about the ingredients on the bag? (look at www.dogfoodproject.com if you aren't aware)

I wasn't aware, but will review and decide if I think the details of this forum are believable or if it is just slander from someone who doesn't like this manufactorer....that happends.

You can see the old ingredient list on Petfooddirect.com. Compare that to the TWO website ;-)

I just compared the ingredients on the bag I had just bought, to the ingredients listed on their website. I even had a few sample bags that I picked up from the pet store and those ingredients were different than what's on their website as well. All I can say is I contacted the company personally and based on their responses and my own research is why I have a poor opinion of this company. However, I have heard from others also that as of recently their dogs aren't doing good on the Timberwolf formulas. Could that be just a coincidence?
