I dont understand how a 2 year old Great Dane was maintaining on 1 cup of Canidae? I would expect to feed such a dog 4-5 cups of any premium food per day at that age. But, if you would like to feed less and if you dog has no allergy problems I would suggest the BW 2000 formula as it is more dense nutritionally. Good luck :)

I was concerned that your great dane only was eating 1 cup a day on this food..I have a lot of background with Danes and this simply would not be enough..I have also fed Canidae too for her she at 4 cups of that food easily. She is currently on the Blackwood 300O and eats 3-4 cups a day and looks great. Where you offering your dane more then a cup and she just wouldn't eat anymore then that ? and with the blackwood she is eating her full ration ? As 4-5 cups is a average amount for a dane...so that is good she is eating more of it.. I hope the Blackwood works out for you..I have been very surprised with how good my dane looks, I have even switched my aussies over to their food, so we'll see how they do next. Good luck =)
