Martin Luther King Jr.

1929–1968; American clergyman and civil rights leader. He led the boycott (1955–56) by Montgomery blacks against the segregated city bus lines, and he attained national prominence by advocating a policy of passive resistance to segregation. He organized the massive March on Washington (August 28, 1963), which brought more than 200,000 people together to hear his famous "I Have A Dream" speech. He was assassinated on April 4, 1968.

Not to take anything away from the honors due to Dr. King, but he didn't "organize the massive March on Washington (August 28, 1963)" - Bayard Rustin did:

BTW, I don't believe the fact that Dr. King was beginning to address the economic exploitation of all working people regardless of race was coincidental to his being murdered. As we've seen in recent years, the oligarchy doesn't mind including black people in their schemes as long as those people don't threaten their right to privilege.
