Nutro 1

Nutro Max Adult Dry Dog Food purchased 12/20/07 made my dogs extremely sick - the American Eskimo still has diarrhea however the vomitting has stopped as of 1/23/08. 12/23/07 I had to take my Yorkie to emergency Clinic. 12/27/07 I to him to my vet. My Yorkie had to have blood transfusion at a Critical Care Veterinary 12/28/07. I spent approx $2500 & rising. My Eskimo is going back to the vet tomorrow for more blood work I am one of the lucky pet owners - my pets are still breathing

Update 2/18/07 my american eskimo is still sick.  He will not eat anything.  I am giving him 14 pills a day & have spent close to $7000 in getting both of dogs well.  The vets are completely stumped.  I am having the dog food tested independently.

msjdee don't worry about the money. Read this web page - http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/liver_diet.htm it talks about a liver cleansing diet for dogs.

So very sorry but I have done a great deal of research on this subject and the Nutro most likely was not at fault. The amount of time Nutro spends on making sure their quality is the best, you can't imagine. Nutro is a fine honest and reputable 80 year old American company that only produces dog and cat food. By the way, i raise American Eskimos and Samoyeds, not for a living, and they ALWAYS eat Nutro products and their health is amazing. Again, sorry for your loss, but look elsewhere.
