Remington Model 870 3

I'd heard nothing but wonders about this "870 express super magnum." Six rounds after I bought my first the gun jammed solid. I took it apart in the field, prt it back together, then 4 rounds after that, jammed solid again. I took the gun back and exchanged for an identical gun. My new gun half jamms every 20 rounds or so. Enough that I have to put the stock on my hip and force the chamber open. I'm over 700 rounds into this gun and still waiting for america's "problemless workhorse shotgun," to break in. I love every thing else about the gun, that's why I'm scratching my head thinking what am I doing wrong. Would love any suggestions.

Before you bash a gun think about the ammo you're using. This is like saying that a car brand is awful because you keep getting tire blowouts. I've used single shots that constantly jam because the shells expand in the chamber...it's the shells, not the gun. I've had my 870 for year, my cousins and uncle have had one for years, my brother and dad for years...no problems that wouldn't happen in any other shotgun. Yeah, jamming occurs, but we can point it back to the specific shells we are using. When I have a jam, everyone else in my group complains if they are borrowing/using from the same box. Some shells expand and get stuck. It happens no matter the gun. Does it mean a .22 rifle is bad because I have duds in the bulk ammo packs but no duds with the more expensive .22 shells? Put the blame where it belongs, not on the gun.
