Remington 11-87 4

Owned a 11-87 12 guage for 4 years now and a 20 guage for 3 years. When I first got each gun the first box of shell fired through them I had problems with ejecting shells. I took each apart and realy cleaned all the factory grease and oil of them and re lubricated them with very light oil and they have been great since. I shoot 2500 rounds through each in a year, Iuse them on everything from starlings , pigeon and doves to ducks and geese , The 20 is the sweetist shooting gun I have ever owned.

BirdDster08 hit the nail on the head; CLEAN the gun before you shoot it. A lot people have posted about bad first experiences and I venture to say they shot the guns without cleaning them first. The factory grease has to be removed and a light lubricant used in it's place before using the gun. Also in cold weather the gun should be cleaned prior to hunting and an even lighter lubricant used as grease and oil get thicker in colder temps and can easily cause a gun to jam.
