this esablishment is just what the doctor ordered. It has a friendly very knowledgable staff, who will treat you with respect no matter how little musical or technical knowledge you may have. The prices are unbeatable, and in some cases you get more than you paid for (in my opinion). I always make an effort to buy all my gear, strings, and recording eqiupment here before a mojor chain store, or kriegs list. The selection can be very limited at times, but if they had more of guitar center's buisness (which they rightly deserve) the selection would improve.
