Two Small Men with Big Hearts

What a terrible, terrible company. We have yet to receive a response. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. See my e-mail to "head office" in January 2008: From: Derrick Schmuhl To: headoffice@twosmallmen.com Sent: Tuesday, January 15, 2008 2:17 PM Subject: Company Feedback form January 14th, 2008 To whom it may concern, This letter is intended to provide you feedback regarding our experience with your company. Let's start with the facts: Your people were not uniformed as your website promises Your people were not at all professional... your "professional crew" was 2.5 hours late with no call - I had to call them to find out that they were going to be late. Your CS rep, Danny, argued with me when I called a second time and explained that they were late for their second quoted time. Your crew wasn't even assembled by the time I left the first building, as they were still waiting for a worker to arrive by bus - funny that he was just coming by bus at that time... as it was explained to me that it was a mechanical failure that delayed the truck. If he was scheduled show before the breakdown of the truck, why was he late if coming by public transit? Nice story. I was asked for cash by your manager, Paul... twice . Once when I was booking on the telephone and once in person when he showed up for the job. Yeah, non-profit community-serving agencies like us keeps heaps of cash around. What a scam. A three-man crew somehow, amazingly, failed to get all our furniture in one load. We agreed a 7-tonne truck would be provided and I was absolutely astounded that he told me that they needed to prepare for a second load. I said no, of course and have now gladly hired others to do it. He seemed disappointed not to get to do the second load, as I'm sure it was the plan to short the load and hit us up for a second one right from the start. It's funny - if he had been on time in the first place, I might have even gone for it (I really needed things done quickly), but as fate would help me to a decision - we only had the elevator booked until five and they just started the unloading at 4:15. Finally - the crowning jewel of our disappointment in your company - additional charges were not explained to us before the move. The whole deal was arranged over the phone - no paperwork. The additional "travel charge" added at the end of the day was a bigger load than the one your men moved for me. I paid, under protest - I had bigger responsibilities to take care of. All I can say from this point is I am so disappointed. We have a large move this Spring. The smallest quote we have received for the job so far is over 50K (for 1.5 entire office buildings) and it will never go your company. I would rather pay an expensive corporate mover than ever deal with this kind of situation again. We will be recommending to all of our community partners, funders and corporate contacts to not to use "Two Small Men" in the future. You really should check out your own reviews on the internet - I am sure that the similarities are not just a coincidence: http://www.rateitall.com/i-22232-two-small-men-with-big-hearts.aspx http://www.epinions.com/content_268441587332 http://two-small-men-with-big-hearts-moving.pissedconsumer.com/ I welcome any comments regarding this feedback.
