Electrolux / Aerus Lux Legacy 1

I purchased a Legacy Lux cannister model vacuum just over two years ago. The reason I purchased it was because I have always used an Electrolux cleaner and have always been satisfied by the performance. I am TOTALLy disgusted by the Legacy Lux. It does a very poor job of cleaning and it is not user friendly. It was also extremely expensive. I don't mind paying good money for a good product, but this was like throwing money away!
I will NEVER purchase another item from electrolux again. I feel I was duped by the salesman and by the company.
Count me as one extremely dissatisfied EXCUSTOMER.

Well, I can see why you are disgusted with that glorified piece of plastic, but don't count the E-lux out. It sounds odd, but if you were to get an older model, it would actually work better than the new. For example, Silverado (circa 1985) is an excellent machine. Model 1205 (1968-1973) are excellent. Even Model G, right before 1205, is just about indestrucatble. Often, these models show up at local thrift shops, or you could get one on ebay. Just make sure the hose is free of clogs and leaks and that the power nozzle stays free of hair and other string-like debris.
