We are loyal Electrolux users until recently when our old cannister died, not to be resurected. We searched for a new Vac and had a really hard time as the good ones seem to be too much money, (Filter Queen, Electrolux, Kirby) and the department store ones, (Hoover, Kenmore, Bissel) just seem too cheap to last long and although they cost less, they are not cheap for what you get. So we just decided on the Oreck. I have never been a fan of the upright and always prefered a good cannister vac. We shall see. Thanks for giving us a bit of confidence in our decision.
