The things I hate about Kmart is that it's like pulling teeth to get any customer assistance at all, but the big thing is that if you want something other than the most mundane items such as underwear and t-shirts, then they probably won't have it!! Here's a list of things a department store really should have but our local KMart didn't: hot-pan pads (I kid you not), electric hot-pots, cast-iron frying pans, rubber overshoes. That last one was just the last straw. All my business that went to Kmart is now going to Target, even though this will mean very long busrides and stocking up on things because the long busrides mean I can't just go to Target on a moment's notice. And reading other people's experiences with Kmart, it confirms my impression that they just don't care anymore.
