Denzel Washington

reviewed by TeresaG

Born in 1954, Denzel Washington has appeared in many movies, including "Glory," "The Pelican Brief," and "The Bone Collector," in which he played a quadriplegic forensic investigator alongside Angelina Jolie.

Denzel Washington 2

For those who said over-rated about Hanks, Pacino and De Niro ~ Denzel is WAY OVERRATED!  He is a decent enough actor (should not have beat out Crowe for that Oscar!), but he is the same no matter what role he is playing.  I couldn't tell the difference in character from Training Day to Preachers Wife.  Yes, he is definitely easy on the eyes, and that smile can melt any heart ~ but what does he have that any other actor doesn't?  He is Ok, but not spectacular, at least to me.

agreed that he shouldn't have got the Oscar for training day, however, he should have gotten a supporting actor nomination/Oscar for Philadelphia. The ambulance chasing lawyer who learns to be compassionate was a great transformation. He was also great in Remember the Titans. He keeps taking action roles when he excels at deeper characters

I will agree ~ loved him in Remember the Titans! But, his acting isn't really anything more than consistent. Or, at least that's how I see him. Supporting Actor award ~ totally agree with that also.
