Honda Rancher 1

I have a 2007 Honda Rancher with maybe 80 miles on it. I took it back to Honda, where i bought it three days later. The 4X4 wouldn't work. It is a manual shift and wouldn't go into gear. Picked it up after 4 more days and put it in the garage. I took the ATV out 6 months later and it wouldn't go into gear. I took it back to Honda and they said the warranty was out. Well with enough arguing i was able to get them to replace the cable that runs to the front drive axle. It works now but he said it might be the front end gears that are still bad. So go home and try it out! Well i have owned Honda's all my life and this was the last one i will ever buy! I was treated like i didn't know how to ride and i broke it in the 80 miles i put on it. If Honda can't warranty their stuff for more than 6 months then I'm Going to try Yamaha next. So if your looking at the 420 Rancher from Honda, Ask about the Manual shift having problems. Also get to Know the Honda sales people a bit before you buy. I just think Honda has gone down hill a bit!

My 2007 420 Rancher would not start after 80 mi. I found the air filter element not attached correctly and the NGK spark plug was bad. A new spark plug and correct installment of the air filter fixed the trouble. I am dissappointed that I had to work on this thing, my 1995 trx 300 is still going strong.
