If you are talking about the old Tarzan series in the 1960's starring Ron Ely, it was rather campy and good in that respect. Tarzan and his trusty sidekick, Cheetah, humped it through the jungle fighting off various human misfeasants and malfeasants while getting along just swimmingly with the fauna.
