Undeniably a great album and the band's masterpiece, but I personally think it's reputation is a little over-inflated. It's a great Rock album with some killer songs - London Calling, Clampdown, Rudie Can't Fail, Wrong 'Em Boyo, Train in Vain.... But for my money their first two albums, while lacking in signature songs, were more important in terms of defining the sound of Punk.
