There were Crusaders from central, north-western Europe, headed by Richard from England. They captured Jerusalem, and the did crushed the Moslems, but later on driven out. There was an alligations of heresy among the knights, mostly from France, and they were punished later. But stiil the movie is great. Such epics are even difficult to memorise, and describe them in texts, just because they happened longtime ago, and there are different explanations from different historians.
