I was born into an Irish-Catholic family, and despite not practicng for some decades and being pretty thoroughly and happily lapsed, I find the congenital ignorance and bigotry of some of the reviews on here more than a touch repellent. 

Historically, the Catholic Church has a lot to answer for, but they are hardly alone in that, and I'd take them ahead of some of the hollering, snake-juggling, tongue-talking, ignoramuses that pass for religious leaders in some sectors.
