Hope you have better luck with Canidae. I tried it on ALL my aussies (6 at the time) and they did poorly. Their hair turned dry and brittle and was falling off, almost wirey. They lost weight because it says feed them less. They were always hungry. I tried it for 3-4 months and they all had the same reaction and side effects. I then took them off of it and did the 30 day Purina challenge and there was a remarkable change. Their coat got THICK and shiny and they had more energy. They gained their weight back, and over all, were much happier. I won't talk about a product unless I have tried it myself first hand for a good amount of time to see a difference. I had heard good things about Canidae and so was excited to try it and even after a month when I noticed their coat was doing poorly, I was still willing to give it more time. PLEASE everyone, read the consumer reports of 2008 for Canidae before you feed it to your dogs! Canidae has switched their manufacturer (now Diamond), and has changed the ingredients WITHOUT announcement. MANY dog owners are trying to nurse their dogs back to health. Symptoms have been hair loss, allergic skin reactions, loose yellow stool, and terrible gas. My black lab/aussie mix is very sick right now because I made the mistake of switching before researching. Make sure you read sources that have been using the newest formula!
