Iams 1

I give this food one star because many of Iams foods have By-Products which have NO nutritional Value for animals. A by-product is not the meat it is the beak, feet, undevolped eggs of an animal. There is also too much grain in many of thier foods which are basically just fillers, your animal cannot digest that much grain, and you the consumer will be feeding your animal much more grain then they need to eat. Which down the line can cause digestion issuse's, a hard stool (the stool should be the consistancy of a Marshmello) Pica (when your animal eats and swallows rocks, sticks, sting, shoes, and more non-eadible items) a shorter life, and more.

The chicken by-products Iams/Eukanuba use are the gizzards and organs of human grade, USDA inspected chickens. Gizzards and organs are perfectly good sources of nutrition for dogs and cats and YES they do eat these animal parts in the wild despite how disgusting you may think it is. And grain is found in almost every kibble, even the so called "holistic" brands. Even grain free foods have sources of carbohydrates, such as potatoes, because dogs need carbs! Grain free foods however, are often too high in protein for most housedogs to tolerate, so just make sure you are choosing a brand and formula that your dog does well on.
