Stopping the removal of the Ten Commandments from public buildings

lmorovan

The removal of the Ten Commandments from any public place or building is a violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution. Incidentally, if the Ten Commandments are removed, the all signs, notifications, names, portraits, pictures, symbols, etc. should likewise be removed because someone could always imply that they promote certain religions, systems, rules, guides, etc. Can you see the hipocrisy in it all?

Uh. . .no. Since the state cannot (and should not) support any church- there is legal and moral precedence to taking it down. It is not a first am-issue since you certainly can practice fairy tales in a church or in your home. Saying something in public discourse versus putting something on permanent display that violates a clear and unambiguous part of the constitution must confuse the zealotry- but there is a difference.
