Labrador Retrievers are large dogs (55-75 lbs.) classified as Sporting Dogs. The breed originated in the 19th century in Newfoundland, where fishermen used the dogs to retrieve fish-filled nets.

Labrador Retriever 4

I always liked labs. Not my choice to own but they are goofy and fun and highly trainable. Hard to find an aggressive one which is a plus.
