I love Natura (the makers of Innova, Innova Evo, and California Natural) dog food. I've worked in the pet industry for almost 5 years and they are one of the few independently owned dog food companies whose food is readily available at smaller pet retail stores. I have two pit mixes who do awesome on the Evo. My Great Dane is on the Cal Nat though because the Evo was a little rich for him. That's the only thing with Evo, some dogs don't take well to the super high protein content. Awesome food though! Oh, and Evo is considered an all lifestages food. So you can feed it to your puppy, adult, or senior dog. We Americans have this strange thing with lifestages. There HAS to be puppy food for puppies and senior food for seniors. Wild dogs all eat the same thing no matter how old they are! Wolf puppies don't eat a different part of the deer than their adult packmates! The only reason Natura makes different lifestage foods with regular Innova and Cal Nat is because most people don't want to accept an all lifestage food. Take Canidae for example, they only make all lifestage diets. Same with Nature's Variety. If you want to feed an "instinct" diet (high protein, high quality, little/no grain, very similar to what animal would eat in the wild) don't worry about lifestages! Once the pup is weaned it can eat Evo! If the stool is still runny after a few weeks maybe the Evo is too rich. In that case try Cal Nat. Yay Natura! Wellness sucks!
