Donovan 5

On a whole range of issues, social, political and others, Donovan and I are pretty far apart in our world view.  I suspect he thinks of my politics as cynical or expedient, while I tend to view his as doctrinaire and somewhat naive.  I'm pretty sure that he views my opinions on many social issues as deplorable, if not perhaps outright degenerative, while I view some of his as blinkered and rigid.  Further, I suspect he regards me as a hedonistic, profane and unrepentent sinner.

All that being said, and I said it to make this very clear point, Donovan and I have always treated each other with respect, and while we don't share much in common in our point of view, there has always been courteous discourse between us. 

Donovan appears to me to try very hard to live up to what he believes, especially when its challenging, which is something most people, Christian or otherwise, have trouble with.

 He's a good man.
