Alltel 5

I work at Alltel and i have to say that no company in the world will please every single customer. I work in a call center in the customer service department. So i deal with a lot of people, for the most part people are very nice and honest. If you come right out and take some responsibility for your mistakes i will help you with your overage and so will most reps. First we do NOT overcharge on your bills. If most of you would take the time to read them you will see that there is FCC and federal taxes on the bills. The only "tax" that Alltel charges in the administrative fee. When you call in please remember that the rep that you are talking to is a human. They may have just gotten off a bad call where someone said they were going to slit my throat because I wouldn't turn their past due phone back on without a payment. But guess what i try to put a smile on my face so when i get to your question i can help you the best i can. So when you call in saying that your teenage child is perfect and never lies too you, and you tell me that he or she didn't sent 1000 texts in one month. I try to be as honest and sincere as i can when i say I'm sorry but all i can do is split the overage with you. You should be grateful I'm doing that. We are not a bargain center. But when you hear the same stuff over and over its hard to be cheerful all the time. It's also not Alltel's fault if you go over YOUR minutes. It isn't our responsibility to call you when you go over you plan minutes, that is a way we make money. I would also like to know how many cell phone companies give you a $300 phone for $50 and don't require you to sign a contract. You are signing saying that if you receive the phone for that price you will give us 2 years of your service. In case most of you forgot you signed a contract with us we didn't bang on your door and make you take our service. Did you read your contract when you signed it? You cant just disconnect your lines whenever you want at no charge. I'm not saying that we are right 100% of the time. We do make mistakes we are all human. Sometime there is one character difference between rate plan codes (ex 66h1=1000 mins, 66h2=2000 min) one mistype can cause a huge bill. All you need to do is call in and speak with us so we can fix it and backdate the plan for you and please don't wait 2 days before your bill is due. But remember you catch more bees with honey than vinegar. If you are nice and joke with us we will go the extra mile to make you happy! I really do enjoy being able to save someone money on there bill by changing their rate plan.(without extending your contract) :)

I am sure that you do a good job, but that is not usual with Alltel. I have spoken to very few reps who were friendly, and did their job. When I did, I praised them to their supervisors because it is so rare. The mistakes Alltel makes are many, and Alltel will not fix them. I was always nice to Alltel reps. After about 6 calls, I usually found a person who was friendly, read the notes, and would get a supervisor if they could not solve the problem. When Alltel creates a problem with an account, a customer has to be on the phone for hours on hold, and being sent from person to person who cannot understand the problem. I have run my battery down trying to get to someone who was not rude (therefore, I did not argue, but called back), until someone saw the problem. The latest, ridiculous problem has caused me to leave Alltel. If you read my previous post, you will read only some of the problems. The post does not relay the frustration caused by the time and money wasted trying to get good service from Alltel.

Sounds like you try to do a good job. Most of the people I have dealt with did but today Toni was a pain and would not listen to reason that if the services we were charged for were blocked like they were supposed to be then we would not have the issues we are having and that refurbished phones that had them with the prior customer DO NOT MAKE IT OKAY that the service was able to be accessed.
