I had the Mirena inserted about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I had a baby 9 months ago and had not started my period yet. I was on the mini pill and was afraid to have a 'whoops' pregnancy. The Mirena seemed like the optimal choice. I have had mild nagging cramps for 2 1/2 weeks, mild nagging bleeding for 2 1/2 weeks and have had an overall crappy attitude for 2 1/2 weeks. My legs are sore, my back is sore and I just don't feel right. I am going to give it another month or so, but if I don't start feeling better soon I'm going to go on the patch.
