Jack Lemmon

Born in 1925 in Massachussetts, Jack Lemmon appeared in such films as "Some Like it Hot," "The Apartment," and "Save the Tiger." Jack Lemmon died in 2001.

Jack Lemmon was one of my all-time favorite actors. Once and a while he was in a clunker but overall his body of work was excellent. He was rarely the star and I think he was best as a supporting actor. Check out his fine performance as the leading man in "The Days of Wine and Roses" with Lee Remick. That film alone should put him toward the top of the list of best actors.
