04/23/2008 | I never thought people were evolving in a Macro sense. So, is this it? I'm not sure. As for the shark ~ why doesn't it grow wings and fly? Or maybe legs and walk on land? Maybe it's tired of being in the ocean. Supposedly a rat developed into a bat thereby massively altering their genetic information, so why not now? Why has it stopped? And by the way ~ (not saying this in a sarcastic manner) ~ thanks for pushing the Funny button and then at least trying to make an explanation or debate. |

04/23/2008 | . . .why do you think people have stopped evolving? You really think this is 'it'? |

04/23/2008 | . . .because such a change is not necessary. Does the shark need more adaption to swim better? (Don't know the answer to that one- can't claim to know much about marine biology- just throwing that one out there as a real question). . . |

04/23/2008 | I mean on a Macro level. I am not disputing thgat Micro evolution happens ~ it does! But show me where that cow is that turned into a whale! It happened before (according to Evolutionary Science), so why isn't it still happening??? |

04/23/2008 | 'changing has ceased'? Nature didn't get the e-mail. . . |

04/23/2008 | Furthermore, there is a big difference between Micro and Macro. Micro evolution is a common occurance ~ it means to shuffle the current genetic information to adapt ~ Macro means to continuously produce offsprings with NEW and ADDITIONAL genetic information, and THAT, my friend, is NOT possible! |

04/23/2008 | I actually do understand science. To prove that Macro science is true, you need to explain how one life form can mutate into a totally different life form. There is no proof of this. Evolution is not a bad word and only means "change over time" ~ which is always happening. But, surprise, surprise now that we have all these labs and scientists and modern technology, all of a sudden, the "changing" has ceased. Why? And please, if you can keep up, don't bring up the big discovery of the "Walking Whale" that has been shoved under the rug because it was all in a scientists imagination (at U of M). There is, unfortunately, no scientific evidence. So, is that just a belief? |

04/23/2008 | Evolution isn't a theory- it's a fact. . .the only thing we're not sure of is its precise initiation. The macro-micro 'debate' isn't this far-off separate camp as creationists want to believe. . .ever since theology has lost the ability to stop or hinder scientific progress, the only way evolution-phobes can stand on theological ground is to turn the debate into a philosophical debate of how evolution doesn't 'explain' everything ("It doesn't work on a macro-level") No real scientist claims that evolution answers everything (no question) but the rapid growth of scientific evidence simply makes the idea of a human-centered universe that must (according to doctrine) reject scientific explanations looks stupider by the day. This is an issue- if you don't understand science. . . |
