You guys are a crock of doo doo. You know that? Those that have no choice know that they have an option and that is to either choose Hughes Net or Wild Blue. Yes, the satellite service is not the best and can be expensive but who asked you to buy their service? I hate reading the reviews and hear these whiners complain it's slower than dial up. No it's not. I had dial up, cable modem, dsl and satellite. Yes satellite service period sucks, but it can not be slower than dial up. If you live in the boon docks area. Live in the freaking city and learn to modernize. Stop living in the cave area and making babies within your own family! If you're griping about the technology then move with the technology! For pete's sake! Get a T1 connect and pay $359 a month at speakeasy.com. Internet service is a luxury not a priority. If you're griping about faster speed because you live in a trailer home or out in the forest where Tarzan lives. Then why not move? Nuff said.

09/24/2008		It is crap to complain about false claims, bait and switch techniques, and poor service? I like to think we are entittled to get what we paid for, nothing more nothing less, if they claim it then they owe it. If not for those who live where tarzan does... who'd grow food for the likes of you?

05/10/2008		Your comment would have made better sense if you would have stuck with the facts but to declare people should move into the city to modernize or associate people who live in rural areas as inbreeding idiots just tells me you really dont care about the facts. The biggest complaint with Hughesnet and Wildblue is that they make false claims. Most reviews point out poor customer service, internet speeds not working at the rate promised, and the service not working at all. One of my family members just finished building a quarter million dollar home on 80 acres and they are too far out to receive any type of broadband. Now their satellite TV and there cell phone service works just fine. I tell them not to use the two above mentioned services due to poor reviews. The fact is that good rural high speed internet service just doesnt exist yet and even T1 connections must have repeaters every 6000 feet just like DSL needs repeaters so for the rural people there is little choice for them. My relatives could move closer to Metropolis but when they look out their front window they see wild turkeys and deer and Blue Birds and some of the most beautiful morning rainbows anyone would ever see. They would like to have high speed internet but it is just not worth it to them because as you say they would have to move close to a city and most likely they would have to put up with people who think they know more about life then some poor dumb country folk. Before you have everybody move to the city remember the sausage and eggs you had for breakfast actually comes from some other place before it gets to the grocery store.
