This is one issue that ALWAYS infuriates me ~ the "not my child" or "my child would never.." ~ PLEASE! Those parents pi$$ me off ~ Of couse it was your child! I'm sorry but, I remember being a child and some of the hell I put my parents through. I'd be a major idiot to think my child is not capable of something. You can teach them right from wrong, you can teach them all the "rules of parenting", BUT you honestly don't know what they do without you around ~ and unless they are arrested or have a guilty conscious, you WON'T know for sure. When you excuse the child, in essence, you are excusing yourself as a parent...no ifs ands or buts about that.
