Best value for 100% agave tequila. Few other 100% agave tequilas are available at this price. Cuervo Tradicional is also good and affordable, but Hornitos offers a rich anejo tequila that is still within the same price range. For those who know, anejo tequilas are much more costly to make. Casadores is way too pricey and has lost much of its quality due to its most recent owners' attempts at increasing profitability by cutting corners during the distilation process. Herradura and El Jimador are not even 100% agave tequilas anymore so they do not even compare. As for all the other tequilas being compared to Hornitos, ie. Don Julio or Milagro, they are of a different catagory all together. Try comparing those tequilas to the likes of Sauza Tres Generaciones or El Tesoro de Don Felipe. And finally, if you are getting tequila for mixing and masking the flavor, don't throw your money away on higher end gems like Tres Generaciones or Don Julio. That is just ridiculous. Buy some Cuervo or Sauza Gold instead.
