Other than the generally mediocre to awful Lions, this city has had successful teams. The Pistons and Red Wings have won titles, and the Tigers, though only recently emerging from a long drought, have won 4 Series ( 1935, 45, 68, 84) and pennants and are one of the great traditional teams in the AL, featuring some of the game's greatest ever at various points.
