The planet is a dynamic system that is perfectly tuned to adjust any and all imbalances. excessive CO2 caused a massive and fast vegetation growth to produce oxygen and cool off the planet. Increased global temperature, even when it cause part of the Arctic to melt, also cause increased evaporation with extensive cloud cover which both protects the surface from direct sunlight (and heat) and causes more precipitation which in turn contributes to the cooling of the surface. Compared to natural CO2 producing phenomenon such as volcanic eruptions and wild fires, what we contribute is insignificant. Politicians should study a little more or consult with independent scientists before making such fools of themselves.
