Office Depot 2

Their printing service has a LOT left to be desired. When I went to get my book printed for a presentation, the guy didn't even ask me if I wanted it in duplex; he just went ahead and printed away, thus incurring a charge on me that I wasn't planning on paying. In the end, I ended up paying nearly $100 for a job that could've been done for $30. Bull.

You should be more specific when you drop the job off stupid

It wasn't dropped off. I was standing there in the store to have the job done right then and there. It wouldn't have taken him but one or two seconds to stop and ask me, "Do you want duplex?" Poor service, end of story. I shouldn't have to hold a printer's hands while he does his work, and he shouldn't just make assumptions about how the job should be done. And there's no excuse for it. It wasn't like he had 100 other jobs in the queue he had to get done ASAP. As far as I could tell based on how casual the staff were, my job was one out of perhaps 3 or 4 going on.

In contrast, when I had my book bounded at the FedEx Kinko's across the street, the dude had the simple, human courtesy to ask me what color binding I wanted before just setting it. He stopped and thought about how I wanted things done, something that was lacking in my experience at Office Depot.
