Nazi Germany (10,000,000 killed)

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and state that Hitler was a religion. He even used Christian imagery in addition to older German pagan symbols to reinforce his godlike image.

UPDATE: So, I've got people who are aching for a debate and I go out and make a hell of a point and... *crickets chirp* nobody says a thing in opposition. Curious...

In any event, even if we concede the point that Hitler had some kind of weird religion, the regime was anti-religious and atheistic, to the extreme.

Hitler was steeped in the atheistic superman theory. He had no religion.

I didn't say it Hitler did.

Well, Hitler was "religious" but certainly not Christian. He held the belief that Jesus was some sort of blonde Aryan superhuman (I guess Hitler couldn't accept the fact that Jesus is Jewish). To Wiseguy: the Christian faith has Jewish roots, not sure if it is considered an "invention."

I read a book some years back called Hitler's Secret Conversations. Hitler actually hated Christianity, because he felt it was an invention of the Jews.

Indeed he did.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that your points alright at best. Saddam found Islam convenient for his use when he needed it too.

Yeah, even the SS symbol is pagan in nature.

Hitler was into black magic (a sort of religion) and was most certainly not an atheist.
