Texasplanner

j0hnnyb1 seems to be eager to completely ignore my review and jump right into quoting what is obviously advertising bylines used by Edward Jones. I wonder if he even read my review? Nothing in my review was untrue. I guess he has a hard time understanding the difference between a broker/salesman and a certified financial planner. How does someone who " can't hack it" go from being a financial product salesman to being a fee-based financial planner. Boy, I thought I was doing good for clients. I guess I couldn't hack it. I only manage $75M of client money.

When someone is faced with the truth that is uncomfortable, it is common to resort to personal attacks of the messanger. Maybe it is just me, but anyone who starts quoting EJ advertised self promotions materials, must have drunk the Edward Jones Kool-Aid and a full fledged member of the cult. I suspect that j0hnnyb1 is probably an Edward Jones employee or broker. Some people who has been brainwashed have a hard time looking at the facts.

Not once did he address any issue that I raised in my review. Instead he resorted to a personal attack of "got canned because he couldn't hack it". I guess his silence speaks for itself.

I'm just trying to let subscribers to RateIt know what they are getting into if they elect to go to Edward Jones for financial advice.

Aw geez... was it the door knocking? Been doing this for many years and have clients that invite me to weddings, birthdays, major events etc... Have seen many clients retire and live off of the portfolio's I've created with them. Your angry for some reason at Edward Jones when in fact it is a dream job when you do the work. You clearly did not want to do the work. Edward Jones provides you with all the research you could ever need and the tools to be whatever type of broker you want to be. We have the freedom to run our business anyway we choose. So if you felt like you were pushing front load funds then that is because you took the easy way out. PS any person with any type of investment back ground knows that front load (A share) mutual funds out perform no load in the long term (serious investors invest for the long term) We dont want your "play money" that is what etrade is for. And if you do a lil more research it is 5.75 for first 25k then 4.0 at 50k and 3.0 at 100k etc. Its called a breakpoint. So if your going to write about something please inform readers of the entire story.
