Miami had the first pick in the draft and made what the experts consider a good yet safe pick with Jake Long. I think drafting a tackle is a good bet to rebuild a team. The Dolphins also got good value in Phillip Merling to start the 2nd round. I had heard he was supposed to be a top 15 pick but slid because of a "sports hernia." They were also able to get one of the top QBs in the draft in Chad Henne, which addresses a major need for them. Miami has a lot more needs than other teams right now, but they made a good step in the right direction with this draft.
