Probably the only catcher in the Browns history who was worth a damn, Severeid was nothing special, a good defensive player with punch and judy offensive power.
Unlike a lot of the guys on this list, who got shuffled off to purgatory with teams even worse than the Browns, Severeid finished his career with the pennant winning Senators in 1925 and the pennant winning Yankees in 1926.
