The computer classes in my high school were pretty worthless. There was word processing, where you supposedly learned to type and then how to format papers (I really learned how to type when I got to college, and I just picked it up on my own), and then there were various classes about obsolete or seldom used software packages like Microsoft Works or Claris Works.
