At his best in the early 20's, Severeid was probably something like
the third or fourth best catcher in the AL- certainly behind Chicago's
Schalk defensively, and Wally Schang offensively. A tough customer from
all accounts, and good defensively. Little power, but hit over .300
over 5 times. Solid career.
