Born in 1973, Marshall Faulk was selected out of San Diego State in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Traded to the St. Louis Rams in 1999, Faulk set a record for total yards from scrimmage in a season and became only the second player in NFL history to tally 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving in the same season. In 2000, he was named NFL MVP when he set an NFL record for touchdowns in a season (26).
