Actually, on a point of historical order, the ones pushing the limits of the possible have been called heretics, blashemers, radicals and rebels - as well as obnoxious, stupid, idiots. The ones levelling the accusations are the brainwashed, bigoted, fanatic, fundamentalists who have a vested interest in the status quo.
