Yeh, i am discovering some of the problems with this bank.... I am not going to sound off and go on a rant here as it helps no one. Plus hey, we are all human.... We all make mistakes.... I think i have seen a mix here of rude people implying others are too stupid to do basic math, and people who need to stay better informed as to what is going on 'behind the scenes' so to speak.
Yes i have had my issues with their over draft nonsens. I find it insane when people claim they should be charged a dollar fee only for such a thing. At the same time.... Come on now, a law needs to be made that only a single charge can be applied in such a situation. I also think a law should be made that charges must appear in the order they were made. But that is just my personal opinion and i realize no such laws presently exist. I can't help but thinking.... They would exist if the 'citizens' demanded them! They would exist if we were calling our congress people with complaints. They would exist if we complained to various places and published more visible statements in local magazines and shamed these banks such as Citizens, not into forfeiting their right to a profit, but in their right of fullfilling every single one of their greedy ambitions atleast. If there is a problem the fault does not lie with Citizens. It lies with you and me and everyone else who sits whining here but does not seek to actively start a dialogue with eachother and put what money is left after the rip off fees (of which not all are, some are actually quite fair.) into shutting the money tap off, unless our money is somehow actually being used by the bank to fund the things we rely on them for. I do not resent paying fees of that nature. I do however resent the deliberate greed happiness where 1 mistake is penalized a half dozen times or even twice is too much.
Now on another issue.... I am presently outside the USA. I am currious about certain things related to POS charges and what the charge for those happens to be. I am also curious as to why i had to pay the bank over $30 for the single debit for my new computer.I am not ready yet to enter a verdict on this issue as i the only damning thing i can find so far is lack of information. Which is a bit troubling. But someone must know something. It could have to do with exchange rates orrr.... I have no idea. But i am not a bank employee. I don't know what the bank's costs were for this debit which is why i am asking about this rather than screaming and ranting like a lunatic. Make no mistake, i am not happy about it. I am less happy finding no information about this phenomina. I also noticed tonight that the cost of POS (when card is used as a credit card rather than debit) are being charged at atleast 3% of the amount of purchase... I am wondering what is known about this also as well as what the exchange fee relates to and weather the bank is charged a flat rate and how much? I am curious to know what percentage of what i am charged is legitimate and what percent is not should any of it be not legitimate that is. I just don't know. The lack of information though is making me a bit suspicious. If anyone knows anything about this issue as well as this other thing i have actually noticed. Foreign ATM balance inquiries! I did find information on a charge for those but it claimed the charge was 99 cents. Yet, it shows my account is charged 2 dollars for each one.... I am wondering how old that information is and if it is still accurate? So many questions, and so few answers.... Well if anyone knows anything about these things.... Please do let me know as i would be interested in the information. Thank you.
