Musicians whose music doesn't really fit any genre

They play music that is often found in college town bars. It is mostly acoustic, but is it folk, jazz, blues, bluegrass, or country? No one really knows, but pseudo-academics love the stuff.

They may once have been known as 'indie', but all the talentless indie kids with acoustic guitars, skinny jeans and floppy fringes completely stripped that word of all meaning...
