The food at weddings is usually pretty good. But the funny thing is that the people who spent less on the food often have better food, because they found a local, independent caterer. The food at my wedding will cost $5 a plate, and I've been to several events catered by this person (including my sister's wedding), and it easily beats the food at several weddings where they spent upwards of $20 a plate.
