I have received my Federal Rebate through direct deposit, and the money has already been used to buy down my credit card debt. There are plenty of other things I wish I could have done with this money, but eliminating my current debt is most important. I guess I spent my rebate check months ago and am now paying for whatever it was I purchased. So my contribution to the economy was already made. Hopefully the rich guys who make money off of my credit will reinvest in the United States. Unfortunately I already know that some of their revenue is spent on payroll in India and the Phillipines:(
